Torino has its own airport, Torino Caselle.
Torino International Airport is connected to most of European capitals.

Also the airport of Milano Malpensa may be used, however the public transports connecting Malpensa to Torino are less frequent.

The airport is 15 km far from Torino downtown.

From the Torino Caselle Airport to Torino and vice versa a shuttle service is available. The timetable varies during the day:
go to http://www.sadem.it/oraristampabili2.asp and click in the 'Ricerca la linea' box on 000027-TORINO-AEROPORTO Caselle, then on 'Scarica l'orario'.

   One-way fare: Euro 5,50 (+0.50 euro buying the ticket on board)
   Travel time: 40 minutes

Tickets ("Biglietti") can be bought at the arrival hall: at the information desk, at the kiosk close to it, at the machines close to the exits. On board the driver can sell tickets under request, with an extra-fee of 0.5 euro.

The shuttle departs from the arrival floor, just in front of the exits. There are two stops in the city centre:
TORINO PORTA SUSA
TORINO PORTA NUOVA (it is the closest to the Congress venue)

By taxi: 30 euro fixed price to/from the city centre. Fare based on travel time outside the city centre. Travel time: about 30 minutes.

FLYING TO/FROM the AIRPORT of MILANO MALPENSA ... and CONNECTIONS

Milano Malpensa Airport is a hub airport located about 140km from Torino.

From the Milano Malpensa Airport to Torino and vice versa a shuttle service is available.
The shuttle runs have a frequency of two hours, as in the timetable: go to http://www.sadem.it/oraristampabili2.asp and click in the 'Ricerca la linea' box on 000020-TORINO-MALPENSA AEROPORTI, then on 'Scarica l'orario'.

The bus stops at the Torino Porta Susa railway station and the city bus terminal is in c.so Vittorio Emanuele II 131/H.

From June 15th 2009 for TORINO/MALPENSA International Airport and return the seat reservation is compulsory. The ticket can be bought either on the website

From Malpensa Airport to Torino city, tickets can be bought at:
Terminal 1: the shop BUS TICKETS, close to exit n. 4 (after coffee-bar "Puro Gusto"); the bus leaves from exit 4, bus stop n. 18
Terminal 2: Agenzia Air Pullman

From Torino city to Malpensa Airport, tickets can be bought at the bus station counter, or in the bars nearest to the bus terminal or stop Porta Susa or directly on the bus.

Train service:

From Milano Malpensa Airport to Torino there are not direct train connections, so you have to reach Milano Centrale Station. At Milano Centrale railway station direct trains to Torino leave approximately each hour.

You can reach Milano Central Station either by:

  • Malpensa Shuttle, bus to Milano Centrale railway station available each 20 minutes for twenty-four hours a day. For a complete list of all available bus services please see Malpensa Airport website;
  • Malpensa Express train: Milano Malpensa Airport - Milano city center, arriving at Milano North railway station. This is not the station from which train to Torino leaves from Milano: you have to move from Milano North railway station to Milano Centrale railway station (by underground or taxi, a 10 minutes trip);

Most of international trains arrive in Porta Nuova and/or Porta Susa Stations
