ITM 2010

31st NATO/SPS International Technical Meeting
on Air Pollution Modelling and its Application

27 Sept - 01 Oct, 2010,
Torino, Italy.

Conference Location

Torino was founded by the Romans during the reign of the Emperor Augustus and was the first capital of Italy. It was in Torino that the Risorgimento and Unification of Italy were born. Every historical event has left its mark on the city, creating a legacy of culture, art and architecture. Beginning in the nineties, Torino has transformed itself from a leading industrial centre into a foucus of technological, scientific and cultural innovation, resulting in an improved quality of life for all its citizens. Torino enjoys an extraordinary geographical position, being surrounded by the gorgeous arc of the Western Alps to the North and West, with a nearby chain of hills forming a beautiful landmark to the East. The mountainous surrounds and close proximity of the Ligurian sea inspired the famous architect Le Corbusier to call Torino: "the city with beautiful natural position". Torino skilfully blends culture and taste, since here were created and are hosted the "Salone Internazionale del Libro" and "Salone Internazionale del Gusto". The city motto of Torino, coined during 2006 Winter Olympics, is: Passion lives here.
